Wow, time Is flying by quick. Tomorrow (august 9th) will be 5 months since my Grandma Lois passed away peaceully In the hospital. I am still sad about It and broken, but I am also rejoicing, knowing that she Is In a much better place! She Is In heaven, having a great time with Jesus. Although we dont like to see people pass away, we can reoice, knowing there going to heaven and we will be with them again one day In eternity. I am learning that. I am learning to have Joy In my pain, Instead of having sorrow In my pain and holding It Inside! I will be happy, knowing my grandma Is with Jesus!

Ill end with the poem that was on her program at the funeral:
GOD looked around HIS GARDEN and HE found an EMPTY PLACE. HE then looked down UPON the EARTH and saw YOUR TIRED FACE. HE put HIS ARMS around YOU and lifted YOU to REST. GOD'S GARDEN must be BEAUTIFUL. HE ALWAYS takes the BEST. HE KNEW that YOU were SUFFERING. HE KNEW that YOU were In PAIN. HE KNEW that YOU would NEVER get WELL on EARTH AGAIN. HE saw that the ROAD was getting ROUGH and the HILLS were HARD to CLIMB. So HE close YOUR EYELIDS ans whispered "PEACE BE THINE". It BROKE our HEARTS to LOSE YOU but YOU DID'NT go ALONE, for PART of US went WITH YOU the day GOD called YOU HOME! <3

Be STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD!
Where do I BEGIN? I have all these THOUGHTS In my head, good, bad, emotions running IN my head ALL at once. BUT, GOD Is STILL GOOD, GOD has to bring US to a POINT where we FINALLY get PEACE and QUIET and let HIM speak to US. GOD says: "Be STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD"! If WE really WANT GOD to CHANGE US, to BE more like HIM, we have to REALIZE that HE Is ALL-POWERFUL and Is GREATER than ALL of US! I KNOW that some of US have a LOT of STRESS and FRUSSTRATIONS goin on, BUT, GOD has US going THROUGH hard times for a REASON!! HE takes US through TRIALS, so WE can GROW In HIM!
If WE would take just 5-10 MINUTES out of our DAY to PRAY, READ the BIBLE, WORSHIP, HELP someone In NEED and REST, I think WE would FINALLY be able to HEAR GOD say: "Be STILL am KNOW that I AM GOD". HE wants US to come to HIM when we NEED REST and HE will give It to US. Matthew 11:28-30 Is the PERFECT VERSE for this. HE tells US to come to HIM and HE will give US REST. So what Is STOPPING US from going to HIM?
NOTHING should STOP US from going to HIM on a DAILY basis. If WE truly THINK about It, that Is GOD'S DESIRE for US to COME to HIM and REST! HE will give US REST. BUT, WE have to be WILLING for HIM to give US REST and to LISTEN to HIM and say: "Be STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD"!

BROKENNESS IS GOD'S REQUIREMENT FOR MAXIMUM USEFULLNESS!
Someone once said: " A soul Is converted In a moment of time, but to become a saint takes a lifetime". Conversion happens Instantly; maturity takes many years. To bring us to MATURITY, GOD has to BREAK US over and over again.
GOD'S work through BROKENNESS calls us not to accumilate, but to DISCARD. HE calls us to get rid of this, toss that, purge ourselves of this trait and that habit, repent of that desire and that goal and finally strip ourselves of all self until we can truly say, " All THAT I AM AND ALL I HAVE IS GOD'S.
HE IS IN ME AND I AM IN HIM, AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS".
What Is GOD stripping away from your life? What comes to mind when you think of being broken? What have you put you and total surrender to GOD? What do you trust more than you trust GOD? What do you love more than you love GOD?
GOD will BREAK YOU, CHANGE YOU and cause you to GROW until you reach SPIRITUAL MATURITY. No matter how long It takes or how difficult the process may be, GOD will continue to BREAK YOU and bring you to a place of WHOLENESS and SPIRITUAL MATURITY so that HE might USE YOU as HIS tool In bringing others to WHOLENESS and SPIRITUAL MATURITY.
We can't reach SPIRITUAL MATURITY without suffering and pain and we cant engage In MINISTRY without being WILLING to endure even more suffering and pain. The JOY set before us, however, Is the JOY of knowing that GOD Is WITH US, WORKING IN US and that GOD Is PLEASED WITH US.
Friend, theres no greater joy than that.
Maybe you are facing a time of BROKENNESS and It feels as though the emotional pain Is more than you can bear. Or perhaps you are dealing with a series of disappointments. Instead of becomming fearful- a frequent ploy of satan to pull you away from GOD- ASK the LORD to reveal what HE Is up to In your LIFE.
GOD did NOT remove the " thorn " from the Apostle Paul's life, yet HE did help him to understand why HE allowed the trial to persist. The HOLY SPIRIT revealed an element of pride In Paul's life, the "thorn" was given to HUMBLE HIM and cause him to rely ON CHRIST. See 2 Corinthians 12: 1-11
In visiting GOD'S altar of BROKENNESS, you will find a SPIRITUAL DEPTH not present before the trial began. Peter writes: "Beloved do not think It's strange concerning the fiery trial which Is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but to rejoice to the extent that you partake of CHRIST'S sufferings, that when HIS glory Is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy". 1 Peter 4: 12-13.
BROKENNESS Is a sign of GOD'S LOVE and ACTIVITY In your LIFE, HE breaks your SELF-RELIANCE because HE LOVES YOU. HE knows that, left on your own, you would yield to pride and selfishness . Any discipline you experience In times of BROKENNESS Is GOD'S way of preparing YOU for future service.
Keep In mind that GOD uses BROKENNESS to deepen your UNDERSTANDING at least 3 ways: 1- YOU GAIN a new perspective of HIS MERCY and PROVISION. 2- YOU develope a more COMPLETE COMPREHENSION of YOURSELF. 3- YOU COMPASSION and UNDERSTANDING for others suffering grows.
The LORD has ONE thing In mind for BROKENNESS: SPIRITUAL VICTORY. YOU will soon discover that only JESUS CHRIST can take your weakness and turn It Into STRENGTH, HOPE and HONOR Will you trust HIM to change your life?
